Pason Systems faced a difficult challenge that required significant data consolidation and extraction.

Solution

Arcurve built a custom solution that provided programs and routines to extract data from existing spreadsheets and operational databases. This included reading/writing data to/from Microsoft Dynamics SL, using Microsoft SQL Server with Analysis Services, Integration Services, and Reporting Services.

The RMS solution provided a transition of operational data to Resource Management Data warehouse. The project delivered a complete set of operational data transitioned and qualified so that year-end reporting could be performed against the new data warehouse. In determining the architecture and design of the data model, the development considered future requirements - specifically the loading of financial data, the replacement of the current asset tracking application and the external interfaces. The solution is the basis of Business intelligence reporting for the organization.  

The solution has become the single source system of record for inventory control and asset management.
