One of Arcurve’s goals is to provide opportunities for young people to build their careers. When we say that, we’re usually talking about careers in the technology sector. However, that’s not always the case!

Last month, Arcurve was proud to sponsor Katy Rutherford to play in the ATB Financial Classic at the Country Hills Golf course here in Calgary. The ATB Financial Classic is a part of the PGA Canada Mackenzie Tour.

“It meant so much to me to be able to compete in ATB Classic last month, to have the support of a local company like Arcurve made it even more special. It was an amazing experience, and I am so thankful I had the opportunity to play.”

Katy is the second women ever to be invited to play in the tournament. To make it even more special, Katy was accompanied by our very own Gerry Rutherford (her dad and Arcurve’s Director, Corporate Services) as her caddy (nice bib, Gerry!).

Katy is 22 years old and just beginning her career as a golf professional by recently completing her PGA Canada golf professional certification. While Katy does not know exactly what her future as a golf professional looks like, she is excited to begin her career.
